20 Min INTENSE ARM WORKOUT with Dumbbells at HOME
20 Min INTENSE ARM WORKOUT with Dumbbells at Home. This is a quick and targeted follow along intense arm workout with Dumbbells at home or at the gym! If you want to tone your arms and improve shape then this workout is for you. We superset with biceps and triceps exercises to really work the arms in this 20 minute dumbbell workout!
If you are a beginner you can do this workout, follow along with me to learn the exercise and correct form without weights, a very light weight or bottles of water. If you are experienced then you know what you need to do to make it challenging for you! My channel is for Women over 50 but my workouts can be done by anyone male or female!
BICEPS
We will do 7 reps of 3 different curl types back to back without resting (so 21 reps in a row in total). We will do 6 sets, resting in between each set. ONE SET IS:
7 reps of Bottom Bicep Curls
7 reps of Top Bicep Curls
7 reps of Full Bicep Curls
TRICEPS
Overhead Tricep Extensions
Single Arm Tricep kickbacks
Tricep Dips
Cool down

    I’ve been following this workout for almost a year. Until I fell and broke a bone I didn’t realize the importance of weight training. Proud of myself that I have been committed and consistent working out 2-3 times per week at home , 3 sets of each exercise. It’s been great and I see the difference. I feel your support Rae.     my next question would it be worth while teaching them to flush as well so they dont pile up toilet and clog it? but then if can train them to flush will they flood bathroom in the case toilet dose clog? also i dont think suppose to use litter with the green ring but i guess aslong as its small enugh to not clog if falls in its allright.

    I have had this "crazy": idea to bodybuild for a few years before I turned 50. Now I'm 51, never been on a diet in my life and absolutely despise working out (moreso gyms in general). I want to make my kids proud, just like Rae, and to just be HEALTHY for the first time in my life.

      Hey thanks for sharing! It’s never too late to start weight training! It sounds like you need to find a way that works for you because if you despise the gym you won’t stick to it and it needs to be a lifestyle especially as we get older. Maybe you can train at home, find a gym buddy, start with body weight exercises and mobility to get stronger. Cut out highly processed foods, drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep. Once you start and notice results you will get the motivation to keep going! Then you can prep for a bodybuilding competition 👏🏻 it’s a marathon not a sprint so set realistic goals and be consistent. Good luck 💜

    So great you address pelvic floor and demonstrate how we can sit and should breathe. I use our coffee table in our lounge room and works fine for now. For some exercises I straddle it by sitting on the corner part. Thanks for your videos Rae and I’m looking forward to more ✅.

    I'm a personal trainer since 1998. Had 11 children born at home ( by choice ) 5 - 10 lbs and over, 1-11 lbs. Been lifting weights since I was 42 years old. Discovered I had a rectal prolapse about 15 months ago, I'm guessing due in part to the loss of estrogen from menopause. I added phyto - estrogens to my supplements, creatine and a number of vitamins. I can use the heavy leg press without negative side effects and in fact I suspect that strengthening my glutes, quads, and lower body in general have improved my pelvic floor situation. I am careful to exhale with the effort and be attentive to anything that doesn't feel right but I have no issues that compromise my quality of life. Next year I'll be 70, with 24 grand children. We have a hobby farm with a small flock of sheep that I keep for fiber ( spinner and weaver ) and I shear all 20 every spring. In my opinion, the weight training, diet and supplements are critical to quality of life.

    I love this video, and I've watched it several times for inspiration! It's great that most of your diet is plant-based. As my metabolism slows down now that I'm 50, It's been difficult to find solid advice from women in our age group who aren't obsessed with animal protein. If anyone watching wants to learn how to make their own plant-based yogurt at home, there are a bunch of good videos here on YT for instant pot yogurt made from soy and/or cashews. This has been a game changer for me - I make a new batch once a week.

    I am looking for a workout suitable for me at nearly 63 and not very fit. This seemed doable except for overbending of the right knee which was injured and doesn't bend properly any more. Warm up , resistance and stretching... great combo in a reasonable length of time. Do we need a high chair or is a normal one OK? Is chair squatting enough? Thorough squatting is a killer for the knee. You certainly look in amazing shape. How much do you train per week?

    I did IF rigerously 18 months ago, i fasted and ate at 2pm_ 8pm. Ive never eaten breakfast so it was easy for me to sustain. Ive just decided to do this again. Ive joined a gym, do i need to eat b4 i go to the gym?? Im being told i need to eat a breakfast??

      Hi sorry I missed your message! I often train fasted but there are different opinions about this and my belief is it as an individual thing, not one size fits all. If you are menopausal like myself then it is usually suggested you shouldn’t train fasted as it puts too much stress on your body. But I’ve tried both ways and as I’m used to training fasted I find it still works for me if I train in the morning. You can test out what works best for you. At the gym you want to have the energy you need to push yourself and also eat something high protein fairly soon afterwards. Maybe you can change your fasting window to accommodate your training session if you find your training sessions are more optimal if you eat first. Hope that helps 💜

      @LiveYourselfYoung I did this today I just can't do planks so Idid simplified version. I couldnt even hold for a couple of seconds tbh. The bear pose I found difficult too. I'll keep trying. If I can't do something, I just do what I can. Like you say, I'll get better and stronger. I hate doing crunches. Loving your full body strength workout video, I did that today too. Enjoyed. Gonna do it 3 times a week. Also doing pilates at gym tomorrow, go me!

    I appreciate the routine of how you eat, the pre-paredness of your evening meal and the reminder to incorporate more fresh foods. However, you lost me at "microwave". To my understanding "healthy" and "microwave" only belong in the same sentence if one is describing that "microwaves are not a healthy way of preparing your food" or "if you want to be healthy do not use microwaves." I do hope for your sake that, if you haven't already, please educate yourself on the effect of microwaving your food. You have such a wonderful intention and commitment to being healthy. I am concerned that you are sabotaging all your good efforts by destroying your food in that heating box.

      I did this today, I loved it. I'm 58 and a beginner, just use 2 x 1 Kg dumbbells as that's all I have, it's the technique that's important, straight back and engaging your core. It felt great.

      Hi thanks for reaching out. Bodyweight exercises or lifting with weights can be so beneficial for you but you need to use proper form and ideally have supervision. I recommend you speak to your doctor first and find a good personal trainer to help you. It will be worth it.

    6 months ago I felt a lot aching body gain weight and high cholesterol I decided to go gym now I feel better not perfect but body aching is gone! Absolutely exercise is a must now Im enjoying my aging journey ! watching like this kind of video to encourage to us aging is also a journey just state of mind how to manage it!
